The El Segundo Public Library partners with El Segundo Unified School District to provide services at four El Segundo school libraries.
Summer Reading
Summer reading is a fun program designed to engage all age groups in exploring new ideas, books and activities. Visit the Beanstack website or mobile app (available for iOS and Android) to create an account and register for a challenge. You can register on June 10th and start recording your reading time. You will earn badges and prizes as you progress and be entered into drawings throughout the summer.

Monday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

We can help with answering questions, assisting with research, suggesting books or online resources and selecting school titles. Main library titles can also be requested through the public library's catalog.
Get a Library Card
All students need an El Segundo Public Library cards to check out materials from the Middle School library. For more information or to apply online, please see our Get a Library Card page.
El Segundo Public Library cards are free to California residents. To obtain one you will need to provide both photo identification and proof of current address.
For children whose cards were previously held at the El Segundo elementary schools, parents may pick those cards up at the El Segundo Public Library. Please call 310-524-2722 for more details.
